Hi there,
Wondered whether anyone really cares about law firm rankings?
In case you missed it, in November, private equity partners Inflexion sold the Chambers legal ranking directory for a (reported) not-too-shabby 400 million pounds.
That’s roughly $507 million USD 💰, give or take a few million.
Nice work if you can get it. 😳
The sale of $500+ million to a private equity firm tells you that those leaderboards aren’t going anywhere any time soon.
Why?
Until now, there simply hasn’t been any other way to gauge where firms stand.
Still, like the industry’s continued overreliance on the billable hour, we hear time and again:
“I want to move away from the illogical and counterproductive way that things have always been done but I don’t know how to do this any other way.”
So, in the same way we’ve striven to provide new ways to introduce transparency, data, and logic to buying legal services, we thought “heck, let’s do it again.”
As we see it, the more you buy something, the more you trust it.
So, last year, we took our data and created our own rankings — data that is 100% derived from real, objective buying behaviour from some of the largest and most prestigious corporate legal teams in the world.
It’s called The PERSUIT 50, and the 2024 edition launches next week.
This year’s is even better than the last, including new rankings, like:
- Top rising firms on PERSUIT
- Top firms using innovative pricing models
- Top alternative service providers
