In our recent poll, 66% of corporate/firm respondents have done nothing to start the convo about AI. Here's what we know and where to start.

Hi there,

Am I the only one shocked by these poll results from our latest webinar, AI-Driven Legal Transformations: Navigating the Future of Corporate Counsel and Outside Counsel Relations?

Of the 170+ participants who responded to our live poll, only 8% say they are currently collaborating with their outside counsel or client partners on Generative AI-related initiatives or projects. ๐Ÿค–

Twenty-five percent are โ€œdiscussing the possibility.โ€

While a gob-smacking 66% are doing absolutely nothing! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Itโ€™s a stark reminder to me, and really anyone involved in bringing innovation to the legal industry, that we are all at different points in our journey.

And that a lot more needs to be done to help that 66% find their way to the practical and tactical advice they need to take their next best steps (which, by the way, our webinar panelists did an excellent job delivering on).

In case you missed it, you can access the webinar here.

In this edition of The PERSUIT, you'll also find:

  • New insights from our Senior Manager of Legal Advisory, Maui Gevero, on  "Why AI isn't the Apocalypse for corporate legal departments" ๐Ÿค–
  • Why your firms might not be facing as much competition as they think in the RFP process ๐Ÿค”
  • Where you can find PERSUIT as we say goodbye to summer ๐ŸŒ… and venture into the fall event season

AI Isnโ€™t the Apocalypse for Corporate Legal Departments; Itโ€™s Actually a Renewal

AI Isnt the Apocalypse for Corporate Legal Departments

The legal industry isnโ€™t necessarily known as the realm of fast-paced change. Outside counsel and even corporate legal departments are inherently risk averse and rightfully so!

However, even the immovable wall of the legal department is being overwhelmed by the unstoppable force of Generative AI.

For many legal departments, this additional challenge is daunting. The hype around AI in particular, has arguably taken too much brain space from the myriad of priorities and risks that corporate legal departments face daily.

In our view, GenAI isn't the "apocalypse" of the attorney-client relationship; it's actually a renewal!

How Many Firms Do In-House Legal Teams Consider During an RFP Process?

1-Aug-10-2023-03-21-39-6172-PM

So how many firms on average compete for RFPs on PERSUIT?

Here's what the data says...
