Erik and Alex agree that AI is changing the landscape for legal, but how do they get their teams to embrace this new technology?
As Alex explained, if you don't take the time to implement the right process around technology adoption and also educate the people who are going to be using it, the technology, regardless of how great it is, is going to fail.
I also absolutely love this snippet of wisdom that Erik shared from his friend and legal tech visionary, Casey Flaherty.
As Erik explained:
"We challenge new things with this rigor like nobody's business, but we never challenge the status quo with the same rigor."
If we approached the status quo with the same rigor as new technology, like AI, we'd find many holes in what we have today that could be improved upon. And we would also be more receptive to how new technology will ultimately be more helpful than a cause for concern.
It's an approach that I think anyone would be wise to follow.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
What steps are you taking to help your teams embrace new technology?
Cheers,
