What a year it's been at PERSUIT!
In 2022, we:
- Hit the over $1 billion(!!) mark in awarded work through the PERSUIT platform
- Doubled the size of the company
- Welcomed a series of amazing new Fortune 500 customers
- Built and released a series of awesome new features.
As I’ve written in previous newsletters, I am continually humbled by the experience of leading PERSUIT.
When I left my position as a BigLaw partner back in 2016 to start a technology company, I naively believed we’d find traction within a few months. After all, how hard could it be?
Well, it took 24 months before we landed our first (real) customer — and then slowly started to find our way.
For two years, we were a company with no customers. That was a very uncomfortable experience!
But as I’ve said many times before, I’ve learned not to be afraid of being uncomfortable — because that’s where the growth is.
Put another way, comfort is the enemy of growth!
Today, with nearly 100 employees and partnerships with over 60 of the world’s top in-house legal teams, we’re seeing innovation and change on a tremendous scale.
Every day — work is awarded through the PERSUIT platform using a process that is — I believe — fairer, more transparent, and more equitable than the traditional way work has always been awarded in legal.
We’re not done of course.
But $1 billion+ awarded through our platform?
As I reflect on 2022, that's a milestone I’m proud of. But I’m more proud of the impact we’re starting to have on the legal industry.
I’ll be taking it easy for a week around the holidays, so no newsletter next week.
As you might expect, we have big plans for 2023 here at PERSUIT — plans that make me more than a little uncomfortable.
